Naked dancer, Femme Fatale and a spy – Mata Hari (Eye of the morning, 1876 - 1917) was one of the most mysterious and contradictory women of her time.
She had great success as an exotic temple dance and was soon known all over Europe. Countless men loved her and ruined themselves for her; Mata Hari was excessive, extravagant and eccentric.
She got involved with German intelligence and was excuted for espionage in Paris in the year 1917. This is what history says. Sylvia Schmid used her own investigations and has come to new conclusions.
Direction, chereography and costumes by Sylvia Schmid. Featuring Claudia Jakobshagen as Mata Hari and Joanna Hay / Sylvia Schmid as the dancer Mata Hari.
